Mountsorrel Lock
One of the joys of the English countryside is to come across a canal winding it's way through town and field on it's way to distant places.
We rather take them for granted, but given that they're all man-made, without regular maintainance they would soon disappear.
The Canal and River Trust are tasked with keeping them water-tight and clear for navigation and they happen to be working on one of the locks on the canal that runs through the village Ben lives in, Mountsorrel in Charnwood.
Well on Sunday there was an open day for the public, so he popped along.
