George Osborne unveils sugar tax on soft drinks
The Chancellor has announced the introduction of a sugar tax on soft drinks from 2018 to tackle obesity. In England, revenue raised from the tax will be spent on school sports.
David Gauke is the Financial Secretary to the Treasury. Martha Kearney asked him why the government was now pursuing an idea which last year it had said was not the most effective way to reduce obesity.
