Actors on tour: the good, the bad and the ugly
Some of Britain's most cherished actors shared their experiences of touring regional theatre.
From 'holiday' vibes to dealing with crazy innkeepers, actors Ian McKellan, Miriam Margolyes and Tim Pigott-Smith revealed all to Broadcasting House presenter Paddy O'Connell.
Miriam Margoyles retold an unfortunate incident experienced by fellow actor, Lionel Blair:
"He went upstairs to use the loo...He tried and tried, and you know that terrible feeling when you've done a poo and you can't get rid of it.
And finally, the lady of the house called up to him:
'Mr Blair! Mr Blair! You have to surprise it.'"
