Actors on tour: the good, the bad and the ugly

Broadcasting House

Available for over a year

Some of Britain's most cherished actors shared their experiences of touring regional theatre. From 'holiday' vibes to dealing with crazy innkeepers, actors Ian McKellan, Miriam Margolyes and Tim Pigott-Smith revealed all to Broadcasting House presenter Paddy O'Connell. Miriam Margoyles retold an unfortunate incident experienced by fellow actor, Lionel Blair: "He went upstairs to use the loo...He tried and tried, and you know that terrible feeling when you've done a poo and you can't get rid of it. And finally, the lady of the house called up to him: 'Mr Blair! Mr Blair! You have to surprise it.'" (Image: Theatre masks Credit: ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½)
