Midwives' boss defends axing abortion limit
The head of the Royal College of Midwives has defended her decision to support a campaign to scrap the limit on abortions beyond 24 weeks.
Professor Cathy Warwick, who is also the chair of the UK's leading abortion provider, the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, has been accused of having a conflict of interest on the issue.
But she told Shaun Ley on The World at One she had acted "absolutely in accordance with the policy of the RCM" and her position was "clinically and ethically very responsible".
