NHS spending: 'It is quite bleak'

New figures show that in the past financial year NHS trusts in England overspent by nearly two and a half billion pounds, leaving almost two-thirds of health service care providers in deficit by the end of March.

Susan Acott, the Chief Executive of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust in Kent, has told Edward Stourton that she is dealing with the most financially challenging pressures in her career.
