Ex-Liberal president: Freud was an enigma
The former president of the Liberal party, Des Wilson, has said "there were no rumours at all" about Sir Clement Freud during his time as an MP.
Sir Clement, who died in 2009, has been accused of abusing two girls between the late 1940s and 1970s.
Mr Wilson told presenter, Martha Kearney, "He was amiable, friendly, very quietly spoken. He was an enigma, there's no question about it."
