Olympian Joe Jacobi has appealed to thieves who stole his 1992 Olympic gold medal to return it.

Jacobi was out enjoying a meal with his family when thieves broke into his car and stole his computer bag which also contained the gold medal. The American canoeist won the gold at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

He's been telling Sportshour's Shari Vahl about the lengths he's gone to, to get it back.
