Hillary Clinton Sets Out Her Economic Vision

US presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has launched her manifesto for the US economy, strongly rejecting Donald Trump's economic agenda..

Earlier this week Donald Trump delivered his first major economic policy speech. Today it's Hillary Clinton's riposte. We hear from Dan Mitchell of the conservative Cato Institute in Washington about Mrs Clinton's pitch to be taken seriously as the CEO of America Inc.

At least eight million tonnes of plastic is thrown away every minute of every day - and a huge amount of it ends up in the vast ocean currents of the Pacific. Indonesia is the second biggest plastics polluter in the world - and the resulting clogged waterways are threatening both fishing and tourism industries. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Rebecca Henchke reports.

If you thought slavery was a thing of the past, think again. Today, millions of men, women and children are still enslaved around the world. A report out this week from Verisk Maplecroft says that slavery is rife in 58% of countries - with China and India performing particularly badly. We hear from Alex Channer an author of the report.
