Scottish referendum 'not inevitable in the short term'
Out of the 182 new MPs last year, Tommy Sheppard was one of the 56 members of the Scottish National Party who stormed into parliament.
Representing Edinburgh East, he only joined the SNP 7 months before the election. He had been a long-standing member of the Labour party before leaving the party when Tony Blair was the leader.
A Masterchef contestant who was responsible for building up a comedy club, he is not a conventional MP.
Mr Sheppard spoke to Martha Kearney about the impact Brexit will have on Scotland and a second referendum there.
