End culture of 'jobs for girls and jobs for boys'
Women who return to work after having a baby fall even further behind men in earning power, a report by the Institute for Fiscal Studies has said.
Maria Miller chairs the Women and Equalities Select Committee and was the Minister for Women until 2014. She told Martha Kearney that smaller companies should also have to report the gender pay gap, as they have to do in Scotland.
However Mrs Miller said gender pay gap reporting "isn't going to solve everything" and called for a change of culture in workplaces "so there aren't jobs for girls and jobs for boys".
