ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ loses Great British Bake Off to Channel 4
Take some flour, sugar, cream and eggs, throw in some contestants and big personality presenters, and you have a recipe for a hit show in The Great British Bake Off. So much so that the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ has now been outbid in its efforts to keep the show on its network for the next few seasons. Instead rival Channel 4 has signed a three-year deal with Love Productions which makes the programme. It's understood the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ offered £15m to keep the show, but the TV production company wanted £25m. It's caused a big stir on social media, with many fans saying Bake Off should stay on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½. But Gill Hind, media analyst from Enders Analysis, told Susannah Streeter it means the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ can invest in finding new formats.
