Marilynne Robinson, author of prize-winning novels Gilead and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½, says she would "crawl over broken glass to vote for Hillary Clinton".
One of President Obama's favourite writers, Robinson tells the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Martha Kearney that the politics of division is being used as a strategy and that many in Congress have a "political interest" in stimulating this.
