CBI: 'Other ways' to hear workers' voices
In the summer, before she became Prime Minister Theresa May suggested that she wanted to see workers directly represented on company boards. Now, she says this should not be compulsory and direct representation may not be the best model.
The director-general of the CBI, Carolyn Fairbairn, has welcomed the move, calling it a "clarification" of policy, and not a reversal. "There are other ways of doing it", she told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4's The World At One.
