A powerful photograph can linger in the memory far longer than the headlines of the event it portrays, says Sir Harold Evans, editor-at-large of Reuters.
Ahead of a conference for leading photojournalists in New York, Sir Harold spoke to The World At One about some of the iconic Reuters photographs of 2016.
Photos shown here were all taken by Reuters photographers, and show: a Black Lives Matter protest in Baton Rouge, a women's volleyball match at the Rio Olympics, Usain Bolt at the Rio Olympics, and the body of a victim of the Nice attacks.
