This weekend saw the final of The Apprentice, with Alana Spencer beating rival Courtney Wood to the top spot.

She has set up a luxury cake company which she runs from her parent鈥檚 house, with one employee so far 鈥� her boyfriend.

24-year-old Spencer who left school at 17 to start her business told 5 live 鈥渟chool wasn鈥檛 my strongest point - I left school to pursue the dream.鈥�

鈥淢y mum worked incredibly hard to provide for us 鈥� seeing how hard she worked made me realise how hard I have to work,鈥� she told us.
