The British-born astronaut Piers Sellers has died at the age of 61 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Earlier this year he spoke to 5live鈥檚 Adrian Chiles about life in space, and his diagnosis.

鈥淚鈥檝e had the luck to do so many good things, two of the best things are my kids. I鈥檝e absolutely no complaints, I鈥檒l try and get the absolute maximum out of the life that鈥檚 left in me 鈥� there鈥檚 no time for moping.鈥�

Dr Sellers spent 600 hours in space, including four spacewalks.

鈥淲orse things happen to all kinds of good people every day 鈥� either their much younger than I am, or they haven鈥檛 had as much fun 鈥� it would be ridiculous to complain,鈥� he added.
