Sheltering girls who escaped FGM
According to local officials in northern Tanzania more than 800 girls were subjected to female genital mutilation last month, despite a government crackdown. In Tarime district, Valerian Mgani from "Association of Termination of Female Genital Mutilation” is sheltering the girls, who are refusing to undergo FGM.
