Hunt resignation a 'massive loss' for Labour
The Labour MP for Stoke-on-Trent North Ruth Smeeth has described fellow Stoke MP Tristram Hunt's decision to stand down as a "huge disappointment" and a "massive loss" for the party at Westminster and for the city.
Mr Hunt is quitting as an MP to become the director of London's Victoria and Albert Museum, triggering a by-election.
Ms Smeeth told Edward Stourton that the resulting by-election would not be "straightforward".
