As America prepares to welcome a new President to the White House, childhood friends Marla and Lynda will be amongst those watching in Washington. Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th US President in the capital on Friday (20 January.)

The women, from Indiana, have made the 500 mile journey to watch Trump鈥檚 inaugural speech and Marla told 5 live鈥檚 Anna Foster:

鈥淚 feel there鈥檚 a new breath of air for our country鈥�

鈥淗e鈥檚 probably one of the first [candidates] that鈥檚 said anything from his heart. I think he鈥檚 got the best interests of our country at heart鈥�
