The trend of remodelling old jewellery into new pieces
Fashions in jewellery change. You’ve only got to look at people’s wedding rings to see how they go from yellow to white, narrow to broad, depending on the year they were bought. Now the National Association of Jewellers is reporting the growing popularity of remodelling old pieces into new. More independent jewellery shops are starting to do it, particularly with family pieces that are passed down the generations. Anna Bailey looks at how to make the best out of granny's hand-me-down jewellery.
