Radio 4 in Four

Available for over a year

Fashions in jewellery change. You’ve only got to look at people’s wedding rings to see how they go from yellow to white, narrow to broad, depending on the year they were bought. Now the National Association of Jewellers is reporting the growing popularity of remodelling old pieces into new. More independent jewellery shops are starting to do it, particularly with family pieces that are passed down the generations. Anna Bailey looks at how to make the best out of granny's hand-me-down jewellery. First broadcast on You & Yours, 26 January 2017.
