Icelandic President 'fundamentally opposed' to pineapple on pizza
Who bans a pizza topping? Speaking to Icelandic students last week, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson surprised Iceland when he said he would ban people from eating pineapple on pizza.
After tongue-in-cheek protests online and on the streets of Reykavik, the President, who's known for his sense of humour, was forced to clarify his position. In an official Facebook post - 'A Statement on the Pizza Controversy' - he said he still hated pineapple on pizza but that he was glad to not hold the power to ban it.
Producer Jon Wiltshire talks with Jacob Magnusson - owner of Iceland's original pizzeria, Hornid.
