'Let's leave negotiations to sensible people'

Tory MP slaps down Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson over Brexit approach.

Mr Johnson had criticised the suggestion that the UK may have to compensate the EU for the UK's exit, suggesting that any bill may fall to the EU instead.

When asked about the Foreign Secretary's approach, Mr Neill said: "I always think it's best to leave the person who is doing the negotiating to do the comments about that sort of thing and that's the Prime Minister and David Davis."

The former Communities minister added: "They are both sensible business-like people."
