The birth of Magnum Photos
In May 1947 a group of leading photographers got together to set up a collective. Among them were Robert Capa and Henri Cartier Bresson. Magnum went on to produce many of the most well-known images of the 20th and 21st centuries. Inge Bondi worked for Magnum in its early days.
