Dean of Westminster on the Duke and his Award
Buckingham Palace has announced that the Duke of Edinburgh is to stop carrying out public engagements from the autumn. A palace spokesman said the decision had been made by Prince Philip himself and that he had the full support of the Queen.
Reverend Dr John Hall, Dean of Westminster, has met Prince Philip on many occasions. He told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4's The World at One about the Prince's strong interest in the restoration of Westminster Abbey and his commitment to the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme which he said, would "forever be a great memorial for him".
