New figures show that waiting times for a number of key NHS services in England were the worst in five years, in the year to the end of March.

Saffron Cordery of NHS Providers, a body representing some NHS trusts in England, says an extra 拢4bn - 拢5bn is needed to meet the increasing pressures on hospitals.
