How ambitious was the Queen's Speech?
The government's legislative programme has been set out in a Queen's Speech. It focused largely on the country's departure from the European Union and was stripped of the more controversial elements of the Conservatives' election manifesto.
Leader of the House of Commons, Andrea Leadsom, Labour's shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry and the deputy Westminster leader of the SNP, Kirsty Blackman gave their reaction the Queen's Speech.
Mrs Leadsom called the programme 'an ambitious plan' and said her government would very much be 'listening' and 'consultative'.
But Emily Thornberry described the agenda as 'threadbare' and Kirsty Blackman said it had been 'significantly watered down'.
