How much does the summer holiday cost parents?
If you work and you don’t have relatives who can help you may find that the cost of childcare is rising and there are fewer council-run holiday clubs available. That’s according to research published today by the Family and Childcare Trust. It surveyed parents who said they were paying on average £124 a week for childcare, that’s up 4% on last year. There are differences depending on where you live. In Wales, for example, prices have fallen. Megan Jarvie talks to Winifred Robinson about the costs.
