Texas oil industry warns storm damage means fuel shortages
Refineries are closed and offshore platforms have been evacuated in the hub of the US oil industry.
A fifth of the country's crude oil is produced in the Gulf of Mexico, but damage to port facilities and pipelines shutdown because of flooding, has prompted the energy industry to warn refined fuel and crude oil will soon be in short supply.
Laura Blewitt, a Houston based reporter on the oil industry for Bloomberg, tells the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Russell Padmore about the challenge of restoring production.
