‘We’re a tough town, with a tough ice hockey team’
Unlike many US cities, Las Vegas isn't traditionally associated with sport. In 2017, the city got its first professional team: the Vegas Golden Knights. On Tuesday 10th October, the ice Hockey team played their inaugural home game. It was supposed to be a night of celebration but instead became a poignant commemoration of the 58 people who lost their lives. Steve Carp covers the team for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and was there at the opening fixture. He also talks about his friend was injured during the shootings at the concert.
