Parental leave for MPs
Former Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman is proposing that new parents in the commons, men or women, as well as those adopting small children, should be entitled to up to six months of what she calls "babyleave" and should be allowed to appoint a fellow MP as a proxy to vote on their behalf.
