Police chiefs complain of 'profound stretch'
Police chiefs from across England have said cuts to resources are placing a "profound stretch" on their ability to tackle crime, reports Shelley Phelps.
The chief constables were giving evidence to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Affairs Committee as part of its inquiry into the challenges and demands facing the police.
