Brexit will not ground flights, say aviation bosses
Senior figures from the aviation industry have played down concerns that flights could be halted by Brexit if no agreement is reached.
All flights within the EU have been governed by an Open Skies agreement allowing carriers almost unlimited rights to fly within Europe. The UK will need to negotiate a new arrangement after it leaves the EU.
But appearing before the Commons Transport Committee, airline and airport bosses insisted customers should be confident when buying tickets that the planes would still be flying.
