Clarke: 'Nice to be called the Three Musketeers'
Ex-Conservative cabinet minister Ken Clarke has said he likes the idea of being called one of the "Three Musketeers" after he met the EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier alongside Nick Clegg and Lord Adonis.
The Tory grandee told Radio 4's World at One that "people are getting paranoid" in their reporting of the meeting. He said they talked "about the full implications of Britain leaving the European union" but "Michel Barnier knew his wasn't negotiating with us and we knew we weren't negotiating with him".
