Australia have overwhelmingly voted in favour of legalising same-sex marriage in a historic poll.

The non-binding postal vote showed 61.6 percent of people in favour of allowing same-sex couples to wed.

Four-time Grand Slam doubles winner Rennae Stubbs came out in 2006 and says she can't understand why anyone would want to get in the way of an individual's love and desire for someone else.
