The fastest man on ice
Running a mile is the perfect distance for testing both speed and stamina. Ever since Roger Bannister first broke the four-minute barrier, the distance has held an almost a mythical attraction.
Meet the Irish runner Paul Robinson, the man who has just run a mile in 4 minutes and 19 seconds... across the Union Glacier in Antarctica. Running a mile across snow and ice is achievement in itself, but setting a world record is a whole different achievement.
