Did you know some teabags contain plastic?

The Environment Secretary Michael Gove has outlined a four-point plan for tackling plastic waste.

One of his points is to reduce the number of different plastics used in the UK.

Dr Karl Williams, head of the Centre for Waste Management at the University of Central Lancashire, told the World at One teabags are an example of a "hidden plastic".

He added that it would be "quite a tall order" to reduce the amount of plastic in products, saying "you have to remember why the plastic's there in the first place".
