Hostels built with plastic waste

A surf hostel in the Philippines uses non-recyclable, single-use plastic waste to build its walls. These 'eco-bricks' are intended to reduce the amount of plastic which ends up in landfill or oceans, harming marine life - especially in Asia, the world's biggest contributor to ocean waste. Bottles and sachets are all embedded in almost every part of The Circle Hostel, as the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Howard Johnson reports from Urbiztondo beach in the Philippines' La Union province.
