US sanctions have been placed on Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska and his company Rusal. It's one of Washington's most aggressive moves to punish Russia for a range of activities, including alleged meddling in the 2016 US Election. But just who exactly is the man they're targeting? Mr Deripaska has been described as President Putin's favourite Industrialist. Eric Reguly is European bureau chief for Canada's Globe and Mail.
