It's quickly becoming one of the most attended music workshops in the county; the has grown to such an extent, they now take over the local library every Monday.

Beginning with just a handful of players, the group - which started in the backroom of a pub - now has around 100 members who meet at the Hive every week.
Ìý
All well as being a community event, they regularly play gigs - from their repertoireÌýof more than 130 songs - raising money for charity.

It's been taking place for more than three decades and, this Friday, the Bewdley Festival returns with ten days of music, comedy and arts.

The Fine Young Cannibals' frontman Roland Gift will perform at the festival's opening night at the Mercure Hotel.
Ìý
Clare Teal and Eddi Reader are among the musicians performing this year.
Ìý
A Sunday afternoon Opera is also taking place.

This month, X Factor winner Matt Cardle concludes his shows on the West End in Strictly Ballroom allowing him to champion his new album Time To Be Alive.

And the recordings were made in Hay-on-Wye.

Matt, who talks exclusively to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Hereford & Worcester, reveals how his struggles with addiction landed him in rehab where he penned many of these new songs.

The album was put together by Jim Eliot, who'sÌýalso written and produced songs for Kylie Minogue, Will Young, Olly Murs, Ellie Goulding, Christina Perri, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Leona Lewis, James Morrison, Rae Morris, Sigma and Foxes – and does all of this tucked away in the shadows of the Black Mountains.
