The Davis Cup final is taking place in Lille between France and Croatia - it will be the final time in its 118 year history that the competition is played in its current format.

The new Davis Cup will have a single qualifying week in February 2019. Then the competition moves to Madrid for a week-long finals event. The men鈥檚 tour will also have its own ATP Cup, featuring 24 nations, just six weeks later, with the inaugural event beginning in January 2020.

The ITF president David Haggerty says talks are ongoing about a possible merger between the Davis Cup and ATP Cup, leading to a single global event.
