In the summer of 2010, Nick was 13 and went round to a friend鈥檚 to play football but he was out. Nick went in to the house to phone him but as he sat down, he noticed his friend鈥檚 dog was behaving strangely. The next thing he knew, the dog went for his neck. Nick tried to run away but the dog got hold of him and bit down on his arm. Luckily, a neighbour, Katie, saw what was happening and got the dog to release its jaws from Nick using a broom handle. Nick had to have three major operations and says if it wasn鈥檛 for Katie鈥檚 actions, he probably wouldn鈥檛 be here today.
