The Kiss Cam has a been a staple of North American sport for decades.

In 1980, the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Stadium had the first outdoor colour video screen in the world. Between innings, the camera showed closeups of fans which lead to some of them kissing. But Barry Stockhamer, the former Vice President of marketing at the Dodgers doesn't believe the entertainment segment started at the Californian club.

Emma Rees is a Professor of Literature and Gender Studies at the University of Chester in England. She says that kiss cams could be faded out.
