Plastic is now dumped in our oceans at a rate of one garbage truck a minute.

Governments, businesses and consumers are stepping up efforts to tackle the plastic problem. One of the simplest solutions - recycling - is widely practiced around the world.

But from used coffee cups to TV dinner containers and even baby nappies, are consumers divvying up their garbage correctly?

蜜芽传媒 presenter Nigel Cassidy and environmental expert Emma Priestland rolled their sleeves up and dug through a recycling bin to find out.
