Cross Country running is trying to reinvent itself to draw a bigger audience, with a view to potentially featuring at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Athletics world governing body, the IAAF, has committed to revamping the sport, aiming to take it back to its roots as the original extreme event.
