Born in New York City, Nile’s first professional gig came as a teenager working on a new TV show called Sesame Street! He then joined the house band at the world famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem before meeting bass guitarist Bernard Edwards who he formed a production company with called Chic Organisation Limited.
Ìý
Together, they wrote, produced and played songs for Ashford & Simpson, Luther Vandross, Chic, Norma Jean Wright, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Carly Simon, Teddy Pendergrass and Debbie Harry.
Ìý
They eventually disbanded the organisation and continued to write individually with Duran Duran, Madonna, Rod Stewart, ABC, The Powerstation, Robert Plant, Ronald Isley, Jeff Beck, David Bowie, The B52’s, Depeche Mode, Slash, Cyndi Lauper, Peter Gabriel, Jody Watley, The Thompson Twins, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, The Vaughan Brothers, INXS, Paul Simon, Hall & Oats, Laurie Anderson, Sheena Easton, Grace Jones, Al Jarreau, Bryan Ferry, Sting, Eddie Murphy, David Lee Roth, Mariah Carey, David Sanborn, Joss Stone, Bob Dylan, Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Adam Lambert, Sam Sparro, La Roux, Mark Ronson, Chase & Status, Alex Newell, Nicky Romero, Michael McDonald, Tensnake, Disclosure, David Guetta, Avicii, Mystery Skull, Sam Smith, Jota Quest, Anderson .Paak, Nao, Emily Sande, Elton John, Craig David, Lunchmoney Lewis, Ke$ha, Vic Mensa, Stefflon Don, George Michael, Keith Urban, Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk and Michael Jackson.

Chic reformed at Nile’s birthday party in the early ‘90s and Prince inspired the band to go on tour in Japan, where Bernard passed away after the last show. Nile never thought he’d play any Chic music without him - but one year later, a Japanese promoter asked Nile to continue in tribute to Bernard - which inspired Nile to play more and more.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Music Introducing in Bromyard
Ìý
If you've only ever driven through the town before, the Conquest is on what we like to call 'Nozstock Street!'.
Ìý
The theatre has now been hosting events at its Tenbury Road location for a quarter of a century - but they'd been campaigning for a facility like this since the '50s, according to the records book.
Ìý
Originally, events had been held in an 'old tin hut' which had been built in 1919 by the Royal British Legion.ÌýBut eventually they decided an all-singing, all-dancing venue was what the town needed.
Ìý
We'd love to see you on the 24th - simply turn up, there's no need to book.
