Meet the 10 Iron Women.

On Sunday they conquered their first Iron man in Barcelona. None of them are elite athletes; they are all young professionals based in or near to London, and have been fitting in a grueling training regime around their lives and careers.

The main reason behind the project was to encourage other women and girls to think beyond limits and enter triathlon/ironman events.

Next year, they plan to help pass on their experiences to develop the next 10 Iron Women as they continue to try to redress the gender balance.

Sarah Curtis and Lucy Fenwick tell Sportshour's Betty Glover about their training and who they hope to inspire.
