Greenland: 5/5 The Future
It's the final episode in our series looking at how the ice sheet in Greenland is melting faster than we thought.
Alun Hubbard - Professor of Glaciology from Aberystwyth University - has been going there for over a decade to measure the ice. His reports from his expedition this summer have taken us round the island, inside glaciers and told us about more icebergs.
In this audio diary, he looks to the future with mixed feelings. He explains how the melting of winter sea ice - which is contributing to more floods globally - has also produced a 'fishing bonanza' and is supporting Greenland's indigenous population.
