Alitalia reaches the end of its financial runway
Italy's debt ridden national airline, Alitalia, will be grounded permanently this week and replaced by a new carrier, ITA, which has the state as one of its shareholders.
Patrick Edmond, the managing director of Altair Advisory, an aviation strategy consultancy firm, tells the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Russell Padmore about Alitalia's troubled financial history.
